Dear Valued DCS Customer,
For over 10 years, Dementia Care Specialists, Inc. (DCS) has provided training and resources focused on a "best abilities" model for care to improve quality of life for people with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. Over the past several years, the interest and demand for our training and services has grown significantly and we have been exploring ways to effectively meet the needs of organizations committed to providing the highest standard of care.
I am writing to share some exciting news that has materialized after a period of careful discernment. The Crisis Prevention Institute Inc.(CPI), a training company which has worked with care professionals for over 30 years, has invested in Dementia Care Specialists. The acquisition creates a partnership that we believe will be of great benefit to current and future DCS customers.
CPI has an outstanding reputation in providing high quality workplace training for professionals and has mastered a unique model for ongoing support for organizations implementing the training. CPI training has reached over 5 million people worldwide through a network of Instructors certified by CPI to cascade the training in their workplaces. This partnership with CPI will enhance our abilities to offer expanded training solutions and additional services our customers need.
There are obvious reasons for DCS to join another training company. But CPI is a training company with a primary mission of improving staff member capabilities to approach every situation in a way that prioritizes Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security With aligned missions and a shared commitment to employee development to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals-----the DCS/CPI training platform makes a lot of sense.
Joining the CPI family will allow DCS to continue to provide the excellent training, resources, and consultation services you have come to expect from us since 1998. That will not change and our services/seminars currently planned will continue without interruption.
We want to assure you that both Kris Palazzi and I will continue our employment with DCS and advance the mission around why DCS exists. I will retain the title of President of Dementia Care Specialists and Kris will proceed with the title of Account Manager. This exciting new opportunity will allow us to share our passion to improve the quality of care for those we serve. Partnering with CPI allows us to have an even greater, far-reaching impact than we could have on our own. I assure each of you, this same passion to change lives is evident in all of the staff at CPI that I am fortunate enough to now work with. I have been through CPI's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training and currently am an active Certified Instructor. Not only are our philosophies compatible, much of the content also interfaces well with our DCS strategies.
